Geneva to Chamonix transfers

Postby firemom » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:48 am

Any who has done the Trek Mont Blanc and can recommend what transfer is best to get from Geneva airport to Chamonix? I have booked my flights for a day early and a day later from the trek, so have lots of time... Names of a company or suggestions and approx. cost would be appreciated.
Thanks
Toni

Hi Toni,
I'm going on the Trek in July. Under Tour Details, G Adventures recommend a specific company called Chamonix Valley Transfers. You can see the specifics here: https://www.gadventures.com/trips/trekking-mont-blanc/674/details/.

I don't think you're obliged to use them, but I'd imagine they're reputable if they're recommended by G Adventures. I've also seen decent reviews for Mountain Drop Offs: http://www.mountaindropoffs.com/

Hi Toni,

I'm doing it in July and I've booked via Chamexpress. www.chamexpress.com . It's about 35 euro each way for a flexi ticket. I chose flexi just in case my flights are delayed. I think they pick up every hour from June to September. This is from their website:
From December to April there are 60 departures each day
From June to September there are 24 departures each day
In May, October and November there are 18 departures each day
I hope this helps.

Cheers
Alice

I did it by train, which means going the long way round Genf-Montreux-Martigny-Chamonix. I took G's recommended flight on the day and arrived too late for the welcome meeting. Can't remember the price but it wasn't much. Very scenic route. Hope you're okay with heights.
