Gloves

Famous for its enormous icebergs, towering glaciers and shimmering summer light, Antarctica offers some of the planet's most awe inspiring landscapes. The North Atlantic and Arctic evoke images of sparse snow covered lands, but when summer comes it bursts with colour and life.

Hi everyone

I'm in the middle of gathering gear for my Antarctica trip later on - would anyone recommend a mitt glove or normal gloves?
Cheers!

normal gloves, a lot easier , also waterproof , I only used mine on deck and on the zodiac, used to take them off on shore :)

I used very thin neoprene (or similar) gloves as immediate skin protection and more bulky ski gloves to provided added warmth as needed. The thin gloves let me use my camera easily without exposing bare skin (although that really wasn't a problem).

I found temperatures on my voyage to hover right around 0 C (30-32 F) but your mileage may vary.
