Malaria Tablets

Postby egrace » Tue Feb 19, 2013 3:36 pm

If I am going on the Indochina Discovery tour do I need Malaria tablets to cover me in all 4 countries or just in some? If so which are the best to get? Also are mosquito nets worth it?

Thanks! Ellie x

My experience has been if you're in a place that requires mosquito nets, the hotel will provide them. I've never brought one with me...

I usually take malarone. If I remember correctly, you start taking them a day or two before going into a malaria region and continue for 7 days after. If you're in and out it may be best to just take them throughout the trip, but you're better off checking with a medical professional.
