Hi Bob , I presume a "sickie" is out of the question ! Probably not possible.

I don't leave until Thursday & have Wednesday off to ensure everything is under control. Not that my mind is at work at all. I am sure everyone is sick of hearing about my trip & just being polite in asking when I go. Maybe just want to shut me up.

Melbourne is about to start a heat wave of 36- 41 degrees for the next 6 days. I will feel the temp difference it it happens.

I survived the last day at work!!! YAY!!!! And I am still healthy LOL I dont know how happy my department is considering they are now down to essentially one healthy MRI tech but I dont care I am soon going to be frolicking with penguins LOL If only there was work/research down in the pole for an MRI tech I would move for certain Now the fun of packing starts like crazy. This I am not looking forward to (I seriously need to hire a packer)

Wendy sorry to hear about the temp and the fires. At least no trees where we are going.
Think I will tell him my budgie gave birth and going on parental leave lol
5 hours at work tomorrow and that is it come hell or high water.
Not looking forward to flight but will be nice to be cold as hot and humid here is brissy

fires not good. Northern Ontario was hit bad this past year too. Now we are just buried on snow

Well, that's me packed! Will be thinking all day what I can take out of my case before I leave for the airport Tuesday lunchtime.
Really, really looking forward to this, but after airline changed a flight and I had to reorganise hotels etc. I've just had enough of the pre-trip organising.
I just want to be in Ushuaia soaking up the scenery.

well its almost our tuesday lunchtime and we are off. Bags, camera, passports, all done
just need to get to airport and aircon. As with chris just want to be down south and then can relax and enjoy everything.
Looking forward to putting names and faces finally together

I've just found this site and I'm leaving for this trip tomorrow. Staying in Hotel De Las Americas in Bueonos Aires. Anyone else staying in same? I'm excited and nervous at same time!

Hi Maggiem,
yes I am staying there also but not leaving Aus until Thursday. Really only there for the Thursday night before flying down at 6am the next morning. Arrive at the airport about 5:20 pm so will get in about an hour half later. Happy for you to leave a note at reception if you want to catch up that night. I can then collect on check in. Otherwise see you the next day in Ushuaia

Thanks for replying. I am there Thursday night and fly to Ushaia at 14:20, arriving there at 17:55! No idea what time I will get to the ship. Might see you in Hotel De Las Americas
