Chiang Mai, Thailand hotel terrible.
http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review- ... g_Mai.html
This is the hotel used for the chiang mai golden triangle trip.
- very stained sheets/towels
- no safe in the room
- multiple lights burned out in room
- no hot water, mildly lukewarm giving it plenty of time to warm up
- very musty
- specified a double bed, got two singles
- characterless IMO
My wife and I have travelled through 50+ different countries staying in places both great and humble. We travel extensively and were excited to use a gap tour for the first time but really dislike the fact that we're pretty much stuck here for three days.
Anyways, my suggestion is:
Replace this hotel on the intinary.

On a personal note, I believe we stayed with them on our golden triangle trip a few years ago. If so it's unfortunate if it has fallen into disrepair. It was one of our more favorable hotels.

We peeked in another room someone else in our group has and it's much better, so it could be a little luck of the draw. Oh well. Our guide is the nicest man on the planet and we're having fun aside from that

Hi bkinley,
Thanks for letting us know! Sounds less than desirable to say the least! We have our crack team in Bangkok looking into this, and our Lead With Service culture will be all over this. We will be better because you took the time to let us know. Thank you.

Thanks!
We had a great hotel in Chiang Rai, so that was fantastic.
Just finished our third night in Chaing Rai and we had a fantastic time with our guide and on the tour. I think the feedback on the Chaing Mai hotel still stands (second time there the mattress on my bed was collapsed, blood stains on the towels
Thanks for getting back to us
