Delhi to Kathmandu Help...
I have recently booked to go on the G-Adventures Delhi to Kathmandu trip for July/August 2013 for two weeks, after which i am staying in Nepal for another two weeks with friends, making my total trip time a month. There are a number of questions I have so would much appreciate any help or advise anyone has!
My first question is about visas, where is the best place to get them from ie the cheapest/quickest, and how far before I travel do I need to apply for my Indian visa?
Secondly, what vaccinations do I need? And how much will they cost?
Thirdly, I am thinking of taking a 60L holdall without wheels for a bag, is this suitable, or would a rucksack be better?
Finally, what sort of shoes should I take? Would a pair of lightwieght walking boots be best, or maybe plimsole style shoes?
Any tips or advice is very much welcome! Thanks

Re: Delhi to Kathmandu Help...
Some of your questions are in the trip notes you'll find on the homepage
or you should get from your travel agent.

1. Visas
The Visa for India you have to get at your home, as it is NOT possible to get a Visa at the Port of Entry.
But it is possible to get a Nepalese visa at the border; you will need at least one passport size photograph and $25 USD, it's very easy to get one.
2. for Vaccinations it's the best when you ask your doctor /travel hospital or pharmacie, about what you might need and what the cost is
3. a rucksack is most of the time more comfortable than anything else
4. Walking boots are for sure better then plimsole style shoes, but it might be as well good to bring along some sandals
or you should get from your travel agent.
