I have heard severla different opinions on this topic. Are there any female travelers on here who have been to Egypt?? Did you cover your hair while you were there.

I was there in 2010. Didn't cover my hair once.
In mosques you just need to make sure your shoulders and knees are covered.
Have fun! This is an amazing place to visit :)
If it does not bring you joy, why are you doing it?

You do not need to cover your hair. As above, shoulders and knees should be covered in mosques (and a good idea not to wear short shorts or skirts, although many tourists do).

No need, I wore a ball cap but that was strictly for sun.

As others have said, no need.

Having long, blonde hair attracted some unwanted attention for some of us in the group, but nothing that couldn't just be ignored, and that was more wondering around the cities - no issues at any of the sites.

Not saying to dye your hair if you're blonde though! :D
