Transportation question EIAL Amalfi Coast Local Living Oct 6
Hi, I have a question about transportation on this trip. The trip notes say private transport between Naples and the Agriturismo but then later state that we will be using the Circumvesuviana train system. Can you please clarify this for me? Thank you. I am looking forward to the trip!

Re: Transportation question EIAL Amalfi Coast Local Living O
Hi there, I've just checked your trip and there's two notes on transport which is quite confusing.
The following states the transport that is used as part of the trip:
Where the minibus will be the private transport which is for the group only.
While the following mentions what can be used:
The Cicumvesuviana train is also the means to get to key sites around Vesuvius such as Herculaneum. Herculaneum is an optional activity and this train can be used from Pompeii to the reach the site. Your CEO will keep you updated every day and will address any concerns you may have but you'll be fine and the trip sounds real cool.
You'll have a fantastic time...and Happy Travels!

About our Transportation
On this trip we will mostly use the local Italian buses, which, depending on the time of year, can be busy and, as with many services in Southern Italy, characterized by a somewhat chaotic (but always charming!) scheduling system. The scenery along the Amalfi Coast is dramatic and buses are a fantastic way to appreciate some of the magical views, as well as get chatting with the locals, but the cliffs and mountains of the coastline make for some extremely windy and occasionally precipitous roads - pack some motion sickness medicine if you think you´ll need it! We will also make use of the local Cicumvesuviana train service that runs from Sorrento to Naples via Pompeii and Herculaneum.
