Travel to Canada via US

Postby lorrainehi » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:47 am

Hi, I will be spending 2 weeks in Canada this summer. I've booked a return flight from Dublin to Calgary, changing in Chicago airport on the way there and on my way back. I have an Irish passport. Does anyone know if I am required to complete the ESTA application for both times I fly into Chicago (at the start and end of my trip), or for just for my first arrival? Thanks!

More than likely you'll be required to.

ESTA is valid for 2 years and for multiple entries - you only need to do it the once.
