Was it the full set of every lonely planet book ever made? Was it a travel toothbrush that brushes your teeth while you sleep? Or a fully paid for GAP trip from your best friend?!

There's no prize for best gift only making us all green with envy!

We gave each other similar presents coincidentally, but mine to Kay was just a wee bit more modern. Bought her the biggest digital photo frame to display the 1,000's of travel photos we have. First 15.7'' screen one we set it up on Christmas day, and were avidly watching it... and it scrambled all the photos and lost them. So back to the shop to exchange. And the new one goes well.

Travel is always worth whatever sacrifices we have to make. Light some candles, use your good dishes, and look through your travel pictures as you dine, it will make it more palatable!
