Average age for YOLO trips
Good evening. Thinking of doing a YOLO trip with GAP. I would be 32 when I do the trip.
What are the average ages for these types of trips?
Looking at Thailand.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm 18 and want to tour asia but I'll be coming alone so for me, it is important to be part of a group of similar aged, like-minded people. I'm looking to be part of a group, not just a guided tour comprised of smaller groups if that makes sense. Would a YOLO trip be suitable for me?

The YOLO trips are still quite new, so I don't think there's any information on the average age. Even with that said the GAP trips tend to attract like minded individuals from the start. I don't see any reason why a Yolo tour wouldn't be suitable for you?

On the tours which I've been on the participants are primarily under 35 .

Freiheit, I've been on 7 GAP trip segments so far. Ages on those tours ranged from 19 to 56 and just about everyone bonded well. I don't think you have to worry too much about the trip being a tour company of separate groups. I'll admit cliques can and do form, especially in the larger groups, but it was based on interests or personality not age.
The good thing is that by virtue of going on a GAP trip, you've already done somewhat of a pre-filter for interest. They wouldn't sign up for adventure travel like camping in Africa or hiking in Peru or sailing in the Galapagos if they weren't already interested in something like that and they wouldn't be going with GAP if they were blue-hairs interested in shuffleboard and a pina colada on the LIdo deck ...
