The trip was such a unique experience. I still can't get over the ride on a cycle rickshaw through the streets of Varanasi. It was just so surreal....

Yeah, WOW!
Hey, how about that evening boat ride on the Ganges in Varanasi though?That was real India to us.Putting all those little paper floats with candles in the water, and seeing that trail of lights streaming behind us.All to the music of the Sitar player!I even bought his CD of his music.Play it over and over at work.
Seems to work....often a cup of mint or spiced chai is brought over by my Indian tenant lady.!

BTW my wife was terrified the boat would capsize and we'd end up in the water.Floating in all the ashes from the funeral pyres.
Real great memories you're going to have for the rest of your lives together.

No kidding. My wife thought the same thing. Before she went on the trip, she insisted on wearing life jackets before we even sit in that boat. But I guess a couple days in India really change our sense of personal safety and well being. LOL. But seriously, the boat was much more stable than we imagined.

We didn't buy the boat music, but we did buy the sound track CD for a Bollywood movie that our leader brought us to. The music in the video I posted is from that CD.

We just thought it would be funny to have an India wedding photo shoot. It wasn't cheap though. We spent about $500cdn for the whole photo shoot. But that includes the jewelry, clothings (3 sets of them for the bride, 1 for the groom) rental and makeup. The whole thing took us about 4 hours. (Very exhausting to be a model, I'm telling u!) The place (Studio Prem) is supposed to be one of the best known photo shop in Delhi, and the head photographer spent the whole 4 hours with us. The owner is this 30 something India guy, and is very very nice. They do mostly outdoor shoots though.. so the backgrounds they have in house were a bit disappointing... Overall, it was a great experience. They gave us all the photos they shot, including the 10 we chose to have them retouched and enlarged, and one of them framed.
