Top 10 Travel Wishlist

For my own amusement, back in 2002 I started a "Top 10 Travel Wishlist"...it's just on a loose piece of paper that I tend to stumble upon while looking for something else about once a year. When I do, I update it because over time my interests change and sometimes I am fortunate enough to actually cross a few destinations off the list so...

What's your "Top 10 Travel Wishlist"?

Mine, for now...

1. Bolivia
2. Easter Island
3. India
4. Trans Mongolian Railroad
5. Antarctica
6. Torres Del Paine & Patagonia
7. Ghana, Benin & Togo
8. Fiji/Bora Bora (I really want just one night in one of those cabins on the crystal clear blue water)
9. Turkey
10. Iceland

Mine also change (ooooo especially since I've been able to cross some off ) but here goes as of today:

1. Everest Base Camp
2. Serengeti
3. Gorilla trek in Uganda/Rwanda
4. Angkor Wat
5. Antarctica
6. Ecuador jungle
7. Galapagos
8. Floe edge in Canada's arctic (saw the arctic this year but was too far inland to see polar bears, narwhales, or belugas)
9. Active volcano anywhere
10. Kilimanjaro summit

I have to hurry...at 52 I'm running out of time. Although, a bigger problem is that every time I cross one off I browse the forum here and find 6 more to add on...darn you all anyway!
I really must stop using the forum as the home page for my web browser!
If I don't see it I can't add it!

Proximity has a lot to do with my list these days. There are a lot of places within easy striking distance of Ecuador that I want to visit.

I know what you mean about the ever-changing list, thecakeisalie. Mine changes every time I look
at someone's travel photos on this site! A recent post of pics of Bali put it on my most current list.

Hmmm. Hard to pick just 10, but here are some things on my list:

1 - Head to Far East Russia, exploring the taiga wilderness from Vladivostok.
2 - Drinking local beer in North Korea
3 - Camping and Hiking around Kauai and the Big Island, Hawaii
4 - Trek around and explore Borneo and Kalimantan
5 - Return to Madagascar to see remote parts of the north
6 - Eat puffins in the Faroe Islands
7 - Go all around Australia
8 - New Zealand north and south islands
9 - Mountain Gorilla Trekking
10 - Kilimanjaro by one of the longer, less popular routes

wow- totally inspiring lists- I'm blown away... some highlights recently were ticking off Outer Mongolia, Turkey, India & Tibet- do it do it do it- life changing (as I'm sure are 100,000 different destinations *grin*).... my new revised list (with some idealistic deadlines on them..hmmm..)
