Falling into the GAP
Well, I've taken the plunge. Got bit by the travel bug and now I'm all ears. Thinking about the Rome-Venice adventure...any comments on that?

Rome is wonderful place to visit. There's just so much to take in. it's hard to decide what to do. We're going back again and just doing Rome and Soutern Italy.
Venice was a little bit of a let down for us. When we arrived it had flooded the day before so everything was a muudy mess. I was amazed to see all the rats when we were walking the streets at midnight. I'd like to go again to Venice to get a different experience.

Venice is Sinking
The reactions I've encountered about Venice range from the repulsed to the rejoiced - only one thing to do, go on the off season and experience. Flooding would sure drive home how mother nature trumps art and determination.
