Take More INteresting Travel Photos With These Tips

Postby Collette » Tue May 27, 2014 11:29 pm

I've been on 6 G Adventure trips, including their first Photography trip in southwest USA with Gary Arndt. Here is a small blog post on some things I've learned along the way: http://collettevblog.wordpress.com/2014 ... hese-tips/

Really helpful tips, I like the idea of different angles, though I don't picture myself climbing a tree any time soon.

Great tips. I really need to experiment more with b&w photography. I think others peoples photos look superb in b&w, but when I make mine b&w (either as a setting before taking the photo or post-photo tweaking in Lightroom, Photoshop etc) I'm just not happy with the results. Your Eiffel Tower photo in b&w, stunning. I made one of my Eiffel Tower photos b&w and for some reason i just don't like it.. something to work on!! I'll be sure to experiment with some b&w snaps during my upcoming Africa holiday.
You're off to great places,

Brad, there are lots of free black and white presets you can download for lightroom - don't give up, play around until you find something you like http://lightroomkillertips.com/lightroo ... portraits/

Travelhog - just google the make of your camera and "user guide" - you should be able to download something to help you out. You can also search youtube for a tutorial. Good luck!
