Patagonia - Circuit or W

Postby where2gonxt » Thu Mar 29, 2007 12:39 pm

If you only had 2 weeks and this was probably the only change you would have to travel to Patagonia would you spend the time and do the complete Paine Circuit or do the W Hike and have time to travel over to Argentina, Glacier and the Fitz Roy Area.

Thanks!

hi! i did the paine national park a couple of years ago, did the W on a 5 day hike, and was brilliant really, and really think it's enough! don't forget you have the glaciers national park and also mount fitz roy close by, if you are a brave hiker!!
the paine ascent is very worthwhile, specially in good weather, although it is quite uncertain the weather you'll get. as a matter of fact, didn't manage to see the cuernos due to 2 days heavy rain and patagonic winds!! the mountain refuges are excellent and you can book ahead.
feel free to ask more information if you want. hope this is useful...
cheers
