Palomina/Ballestas Islands

Postby travelbug88 » Sat Jul 12, 2014 11:32 am

I'm thinking of booking onto the 'Peru on a shoestring trip' next year but it doesn't stop in Paracas and I am really interested in visiting the Ballestas Islands!!

Does anybody who has done this trip know if there is the possibility to stop in Paracas on the way to Nazca?

If not there is a chance to visit the Palomina Islands from Lima before the trip starts! Has anyone been to either/both of these islands and can recommend which one if any is the best to see!!

I just wish the shoestring trip included a stop in Paracas!!!

In the optional activities there is a day trip from Lima to visit Ballestas Islands.

You'd have to do this pretrip to fit it in.

It's a long day trip from Lima, but was one of the highlights of our trip and I would recommend it.
