galapagos and andean adventure ( luggage)

hey.
im looking into doing this trip but the only thing im worried about is what do you do with your luggage? ( we do the inca trail on this trip)do you carry it with you or what? its just im hoping to do a trip to antartica before this one and i dont want to have to carry a very heavy backpack! haha ,ill end up with a very sore back!

For the Inca trail You leave your luggage at the hotel in Cuzco & are given a duffle bag which the porters carry.
