BA to Montevideo

Postby whitling2k » Fri Nov 04, 2011 6:55 pm

Hi everyone!

We're making really good progress around SA (mostly thanks to the advice we've received on here :D ) and now have 7 days in BA - so we're thinking of heading to Montevideo for a day or two. I know very little about getting out of Montevideo, I only really know what my guidebooks say - things to do, how to get there etc etc So, my questions are:

1. Is it possible to get from Montevideo directly to Puerto de Iguassu by bus? (how long and what are the roads like?)

2.Would it be better to leave BA, have 1 night in Montevideo, then return to BA and fly to Iguassu

3. Is it possible to do Montevideo in a day by the ferry?

4. are there any other 2/3 day excursions from BA that are good fun?

I'd prefer not to go on long bus rides over mountain passes as the other half gets travel sick sometimes.

Cheers for now
