Highlights of Peru- Fittness

Postby fayewhelan » Fri Sep 09, 2011 2:53 pm

Hi I

I am going on Highlights of Peru in 4 weeks and I am so excited but a little nervous that I have hurt my back and I am not able to get fit before the tour... how much physical activity is there? And will be be carrying my large rucksack a lot?

Thanks

Faye

Generally, you'll be carrying it from bus to hotel room to bus. It's been a while since I did this, but I don't remember any real long luggage hauls.

There may be some day hikes...like one up to the top of the Titicaca island, but you could opt out of it, or go as far as you want then turn around.

It's probably a good idea to mention the bad back to your tour leader at the start of the trip just so they're aware of it.
