VISAS for Bolivia for US citizens

Postby asalibee » Wed Aug 31, 2011 6:35 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know the latest rules for getting a visa for Bolivia if you are a US citizen? Can you get the visa at the airport in La Paz? Or must you get it before you leave? The Bolivian consulate in Miami does not answer their phone and the Washington office directs you to an automated message or a website. I heard that some changes were made in June 2011...it would be so much easier to get the visa in Bolivia...hate to take the chance and be denied entry though. Thanks, Linda

Here's the latest info:

It seems you can get the visa on arrival but just make sure you have all the necessary paperwork with monies and you'll be good to go.
