Peru- food for vegetarians?

Postby kyelaandallana » Mon Jul 18, 2011 9:24 pm

Just wondering, will my daughter and I starve? Everyone is talking about the great meat- should we stack up on protein bars?

12 out of 19 day we are responsible for finding our own supper within the cities, what food would you recommend?

Thanks!

Vegetarian can mean a lot of different things, finding tasty soups and corn and potato based dishes shouldn't be a problem. Advise your tour leader at the start and they can help navigate you towards restaurants. Note, we hit the most amazing vegetarian restaurant twice (Lakshmivan) in Peru.
