Las Vegas adventure
I'm planning a girls trip to Las Vegas and wondering what the latest and greatest hot spots are? (Restaurants, clubs, shows, shopping?) Where did you have the most fun? What was the best value for your money? Send me your opinions, thanks!

It's Vegas everythings a hot spot
It doesn't really matter where you go in Vegas you'll run into a hot spot. Plus if plan on going back again, join the players clubs in a few hotel casinos, you'll usually get coupons in the mail to come back. My parents are going back this year and their room is only costing $35 plus a free breakfast.

It doesn't matter where you stay in Vegas. You won't be in your room long enough for it to matter. It is a great place to go and you will always find something to do. You definately won't be bored. I have been there 10 times and have never gotten bored of it. Just go with the flow and enjoy it...

Ghost Bar in the palms is a must see, it's on the top of the hotel and you can see the hole strip, Rain down stair in the palms is also good, Rum jungle is also good been there a few time dances and lots to see great place to start out you night, then head up the strip. Freemont street is old but the sky show is free and kind of cool to see were vegas started. if you have time go through all the hotels lots to see.

vegas
Hey,
I've been to Vegas twice and have stayed at the Imperial Palace. It is not the Belagio but very clean and so central. Their buffetts are good too and pool not bad. I have never had any complaints about the Imperial. It is right across the road from Caesers Palace, close to the Bellagio, the Paris etc. Their staff have alot of fun working in the casino and they impersonate celebraties. I don't know about the bars but there are lots and the best thing we saw was KA at the mgm grand. Amazing...by Cirque de Soleile. A must see...They have a booking desk right at the desk and the Conceige got us tickets to see KA. If you have time go to the Grand Canyon too. A full days trip.....
Have fun

The Vegas shows which you must see
1.Cirque de Soleil (Circus of the Sun)
2."O", one of the Cirque de Soleil shows, is presented at the Bellagio.
3.Mystere, another Cirque de Soleil extravaganza
4.Penn & Teller now have their own theatre at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
5.Criss Angel astounds audiences at the Luxor Las Vegas.

Re: Las Vegas adventure
Pretty much all of the hotels have some kind of free attraction for visitors, be it the big cats at MGM or the Atlantis show in Caesars Palace, the volcano at the Mirage or the pirate show at . Do a google search for free things in Vegas and any that take your fancy do in the afternoon to avoid the heat.
I'd also recommend a day trip out to the grand canyon (2.5hrs away) and maybe even to Zion national park (1hr away) to see another side of the region.
Unfortunately I was there at the end of a 6 week trip and my funds were vastly diminished by then so I didnt really party all that much. But I would recommend seeing a show (personally, I'd choose a decent Elvis impersonator show over something generic like the Blue Man group, as its such a laugh and a real cliche vegas thing!)
As for where to stay - dont make my mistake and go for the cheapest place - I ended up at the Stratosphere, and while it was decent enough, being at one end of the strip is mighty annoying, as everywhere is such a walk! Try and stay somewhere smack in the middle to be at the heart of it all, and without too far to stagger home after a night out...

Re: Las Vegas adventure
The first night is the best night so hit the ground running!!
Stayed at the Bellagio and Treasure Island. Got $100 off a suite at the Bellagio using a coupon code. Pretty swanky, a little stuffy. We had WAY more fun at Treasure Island, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Room was standard compared to our suite, but we got coupons for freebies so overall a better value when resting your head.
Heli tours out of Vegas into the canyon are short and expensive. Take the 1 hour bus ride past the famous "Welcome to LasVegas" sign to the Ranch (makes stops at Hoover Damn, and Lake Mead too) and spend more flight time in the canyon, ride horses through the Joshua trees and have a cowboy lunch. A full day excursion for less than the price of the heli tour out of Vegas. HIGHLY recommend this day trip!
The Gun Store was amazing! Take a limo there and arrange for them to pick you up. Get the private room. And be sober or they wont let you in. Very safe and exhilarating.
Enjoy your trip!!

Re: Las Vegas adventure
i believe the imperial palace is under renovations and has changed name to The Quad. it is centrally located on the strip...which is a good thing. also, for getting around, nothing beats the Deuce buses, they run 24hrs, stopping all along the strip constantly and go all the way up to freemont street. $8/24hr pass, you can hop on and off going anywhere along their route, or $20/3-day pass. saves a lot of walking. any hotel on the strip has easy access to these buses. also, the airport shuttles for $13 can do round trip to strip hotels. south rim grand canyon is more like a 4hr drive on a bus. zion/bryce canyon was even further, but awesome scenery. each is definitely an entire day.
