Natural wonders, SFO to Seattle

Postby mucki » Sun Aug 18, 2013 11:37 am

I will be in San Francisco on 4th September. I'm not sure, which type of luggage I should take. A backpack or better a bag, and which clothes. Is it at this time warm or colder, I have no ideas. 22 days of camping are not short and i don't want to shudder. Also with the shoes: are normal waterproof shoes enough or should i take climbing boots with me
Maybe somebody can help me

After this trip i stay 3 weeks more in california. Maybe someone else too?

greets resi

While the climate in California, Oregon and Washington should generally be temperate in the fall, you should bear in mind Mark Twain's old saying, "the coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco" (or words to that effect). Of course, ole Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain's real name) grew up in the American South so was used to much hotter climates (think 40+C and 90+% humidity).
