Greek Sailing Food

Postby Katie Sailing » Tue Mar 11, 2008 5:25 pm

Hi, I'm thinking of going on one of the May Greek Sailing Trips. Is it easy to obtain food every day from local markets. I have many food allergies which are easy for me to identify, but would make a food kitty something I would have to opt out of. I really like the idea of choosing food everyday and possibly eating in the local places.

The boat will normally visit a harbor every day of the trip. Most nights you will spend in the harbor of one island or another. On every Greek island I have ever visited there has been a market within easy walking distance of the dock. Food shopping will be no problem.

At night you will normally go, as a group, to a restaurant near the port for dinner. This could be a short walk from the boat or a short bus (public bus) ride away.
