Postby ECUNNINGHAM » Sun Mar 02, 2008 11:22 am

Hi - We are going to book one of the fab Greek islands sailing trips. Does anyone have a photo of the sailboat and cabins? My email address is elizabethcunningham@hotmail.com or posting it here would be great. Thanks so much! Cheers!

You need to know that the sail boats Gap uses in Greece are rented. Since the sailing season has not started, the type of boat to be used may not be set yet (try calling Gap). With that said, Gap used the Bavaria Yachts 50 last year. See the web site of the boat builder:

http://www.bavaria-yachts.com/c50.html

for full details. The web site includes inside and outside photos, deck plans, etc. You need to keep in mind that the Bavaria 50 comes in several sub models and Gap used the 5 cabin version last year. Also keep in mind that the Gap boats used last year were several years old and are not the exact models shown on the Bavaria Yachts web site (but they are close).

The basic layout is: two cabins aft each with one bed for two people, a main cabin with kitchen and dining areas. Forward are two cabins for two with upper and lower bunks and a fifth cabin at the bow for the skipper. There are three heads on the boat.

Write again if you have more questions.
