Golden Ring of Russia: experiences and reviews please :)

Hi,

I'm seriously looking at doing the Golden Ring of Russia tour for June 2013. Has anyone done this in the last year or 2? im just looking for experiences and opinions.

I'm quite fascinated by Russia so I'm quite confident i'll like the trip, but whats it like getting about for a non Russian speaker? (easy, tricky etc)

is it an expensive place comparable to the UK and other European nations?

Just any other random advice and experience would be much appreciated

Russia tends to be less expensive than the UK.
