Cuba - Cuba Libre - Gifts and other stuff
Hello!
I've booked to go on the Cuba Libre tour starting 22/Sept and I'm hoping to get answers to the following questions:
1) Is there internet/wifi available in the hotels? I.e. does it make sense to bring a portable computer?
2) A friend suggested to bring pens, pencils, candy to give away to children in Cuba. Or bring over the counter medicine such as paracetamol, aspirin, ibuprofen.
Has anyone been on a trip to Cuba that has done the same? If so, please give suggestions of which things to bring.
Thanks!
Leon

There is internet in Cuba, but there is no guarantee that the hotels the tour stops at will have internet.
School supplies are welcome by the children, but you may want to simply make a donation to a charity doing work locally so not to foster the culture of begging.
Have a great time in Cuba, I loved my time there.

Bring pens, pencils, small/sample shampoos/conditioners/toiletries as well as soap. If you have room to bring any clothing you no longer need, bring that also. For yourself, bring any medication you may need, or never need, and leave whatever you don't use at a local clinic.
I hope that helps.
Enjoy your holiday, it's a gorgeous island with gorgeous people..
