Costa Rica QuestTransportation

Postby sd2828 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 7:38 pm

To those who have gone on the Costa Rica Quest tour, I am just wondering , are all the transportation by public bus or is it just the last segment of the trip from Quepos to San Jose?

I saw a similar tour which is more expensive, they are supposed to travel by private bus but the estimated transport time for both tours in the trip details are exactly the same. I am just wondering how traveling by public bus takes the same amount of time as private transportation....

It was a lot of buses.
It was a bus from San Jose to La Fortuna.
Bus, boat and smaller bus to Monteverde.
Another bus to Quepos and another bus back to San Jose.

The buses were comfy and it was just our group. (although we did take a public bus to the beach and back to our hotel in Quepos)

The trips take a long time on sometimes bumpy, mountainous roads. Especially getting into and out of Monteverde.

San Jose to La Fortuna and Quepos to San Jose were paved roads.

It really is a fantasic trip and well worth it. Enjoy!
