Costa Rica in December/Christmas CHB CRA
I am about to book the Costa Rica hike bike and raft tour on the 18th of December -2nd Jan 2011 with my boyfriend.
Is there anything different that happens in Costa Rica this time of the year?
We are not that active but love the idea of the CHB trip, can anyone that has been on this trip tell me how fit you need to be?
i cycle 14k a day round trip to work and run about twice a week (5k) but that’s all i do, my partner plays soccer twice a week and cycles about 7k round trip to work. He has asthma and is prone to shin splints.
we are coming from Ireland and will be stopping in New York for two days to have a look around also.
any advice on doing the CR adventure or the hike bike and raft, i know you can pay extra on arrival for the CR adventure for these activities but which would you guys recommend.
Have been reading all previous blogs about CR and it looks amazing!
thanks,
Lisa and Shane

We did the Costa Rica Qwest at Christmas 2009. The shops close down this day but we did find guides that worked since this is their only income.
