Lollin in Costa Rica

Hi.
I'm going on the CR Hike, Bike and Raft in May and am planning to stay on in CR for the best part of a week after it finishes. Does anyone have any suggestions of a relaxing beach place a solo traveller could go for a bit of R&R after 2 weeks of activity fuelled exertion? Ideally, a mellow, non-glitzy place, but with a bit of life and some other travellers to befriend. Montezuma fit the bill?
