Hi Sarah!

Ahh awesome! I was beginning to think no one was going on this trip for a minute there! I'm from Manchester, England.. (lovely and sunny city :o ), where abouts on this planet are you from?
I'm going on my own.. decided on my 30th birthday earlier this year to randomly book a big trip!

I'm a lone ranger too, I arrive in Bangkok the day before though. When do you fly in?

Hi All,

I am booked to go on the Indochina Encompassed Tour, starting on the 3rd November, I am from Scotland and leave on the 1st November. I notice there are a couple more people on this forum going on the same tour. So chuffed, as wasn't sure if I would manage to chat with other travellers before I arrived. Are you on the full 29 day tour? and what's your plans after? Are you flying home or travelling onwards for another adventure?

Look forward to hearing from you, I have never done anything like this before. Excited and nervous.

Hiya!

Great, glad to hear i'm not the only one on this trip!

Hi Sarah and Fi-Fi -- yeh me too, I fly in the day before too, arriving around 3pm ish and getting a taxi to the joining hotel... so definitely think a meet up beforehand with everyone for a celebratory trip drink is in order!
Are either of you staying at the joining hotel too?
Yeh i'm on the full 29 day tour and then flying out the day after we finish. I wanted to do more but It was a mammoth task getting my work to agree for me to have almost 5 weeks off as it was! Are you staying on after the trip? Me too.,.Excited but slightly nervous!
Have either of you thought about/already got your visas?

I get to Bangkok about 11am the day before and staying on Koh San Road, so defo up for meeting up for drinks that night!

A friend of mine has done this tour so she's going to show me how to get hold of a visa soon, think you just do it through the Vietnamese embassy website, pretty straight forward I think :)

Hey sorry I haven't received notifications of the replies u guys have left. Wasn't igniting you. Hehe

Ace, Sarah & I are travelling into Bangkok together, as our flights arrive an hr apart, so we should defo meet up for dinner & drinks the first nyt & some exploring on day 1.

I'm thinking on booking into the Central Station Hotel the nyt beforehand. Is that what u have done Adam?

Cannot wait. I'm on the full tour & then Island hopping round Thailand for 2.5 weeks after, before flying home. Have 2 days in Bangkok after the tour.

Hi all!

I'm planning on going on this trip, just trying to do a bit of research between this one and the more basic sounding option. I'm a lone traveller so great to hear others will be as well! Has anyone done anything like this before? If so, any tips will be great.

Thanks!

Hi alexp,

Hope you've booked this trip by now and raring to go!?
I've never done anything like this before., one of those adventures I decided to do before the dreaded life responsibilities kick in and it becomes an impossibility! Equally... i want a 4 week holiday instead of the routine 1-2 week!
I'm not sure exactly how this one will compare to the more basic one however there isn't a massive massive price difference and for the extra comfort they advertise it seems worth it to me!

Hi Adam

I still haven't booked, can't make up my mind between the two trips, but think I'm swaying more towards the discovery as the travel company reckon it will be more my age group and interests but don't want to be the old one that has an early night whilst everyone else is partying!!!

Looks like I've missed the early tour and going to be heading out around 7th Nov. Then I'm doing a couple of weeks in Southern Thailand before heading to Australia.

Hi all,
I'm doing the Indochina Encompassed on a later date but just wondering have you guys considered how much spending money to take with you for your trip?
