Transfers in Perth

I had to book my international flights into Perth and follow-on domestic flight separately (Skywest didn't want to cooperate with my travel agent and they're the only ones flying to my end destination). Does anyone know if it's possible to check my bags straight through to Albany (transferring from international to domestic in Perth) or will I have to go out to baggage claim to get my bags and lug them over to my domestic flight check-in?

Hi
I'm afraid you'll have to pick up your baggage because you'll have to go through customs and immigration with your bags as Perth is an international airport.
