Australian Bank Account HELP!!!

I have just arrived in Australia and looking for advice on opening an Australian bank account. I am staying in Melbourne and will be here for at least the next 3 months, i want to start looking for work so need to open an account ASAP.

Any tips???

Go into one of the big banks such as commonwealth, ANZ or westpac and they will help you. It's very similar to uk banking. Make her you have plenty of forms of ID on you too.
