ATID130719 : Indochina Discovery - 19th July 2013

Postby rachwoo » Mon May 20, 2013 6:34 am

Hi,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who will be taking part in the Indochina Discovery tour commencing 19th July. Me and my friend will be arriving on the evening of 18th July so we can do Flight of the Gibbons on 19th July before we meet everyone at the hotel in the evening.

Will be nice to hear from you!

Hello,

I'm also doing this tour, I only just booked yesterday! I'm also coming from England and travelling alone so it's nice to know someone else is too. I'm arriving on the 18th and staying a week extra at the end, might visit some of the islands.

The Islands are amazing! I went to krabi, phuket and ko phi phi after I did the gap tour!
Krabi is a bit boring, but phuket and kho phi phi are so cool! Make sure you do one of the full day boat tours to the beaches and remote islands! It'll blow you away :)

Hey,

It will be nice to meet you all. We are flying from Düsseldorf as we live and work in Cologne. We get to Bangkok at 19.30 on 19th. We have three nights on Koh Samet afterwards... really wanted to stay longer but we are teachers and needed to be back to get sorted ready for the new year :(

It will be great to meet you all!

Hi, no I just got the typhoid injection ( I'm already up to date with hep a and the polio and tetnus one). I am away from now until the trip so I didn't have time to get the 3 injections for rabies and also didn't think it was essential ( but that's just my opinion)
Is anyone staying in the hotel the night before the tour?

I didn't bother with rabies either. Just typhoid and Hep A. Which night do you mean? The 18th?

I get to bangkok really early morning on the day of the trip, anyone know where's good in bangkok to wander round/chillout for a few hours before we meet in the evening? What's Khao San Road like? :)

Khao san road is very touristy. Lots of bars and restaurants, tourist shops etc... You can enjoy yourself there but you wont see much thailand culture! ;)

Hello!

I'm also doing this tour :D ! I'm coming from Switzerland and travelling alone! I'm 23 and i will be arriving in Bangkok on the afternoon 19th July just before the meeting point.

It will be my first trip to Asia but the third with G Adventures (Africa and Peru before). I speak French and only a little bit English. Generally, it's a bit difficult for me at the beginning of the tour, but it gets better after a few days

I didn't have time to get the 3 injections for rabies...but i think it's not very important too.

I look forward to this trip and meet you all!
