The Egypt & Jordan Adventure departing Cairo on the 4th April 2013??

I'm flying in to Cairo the morning the tour starts, because I too am a little nervous about being in the city on my own. We will be ok though!! Can't wait to see so many amazing things, looking forward to Petra the most.

My name is Steph, and yes indeed I'm on the tour departing Cairo the 4th of April. I'm from Australia. Where are you from?

I get there the day before, but that was a cheaper flight for me. I'm a bit nervous about being a woman alone in Cairo too, but I've been told by friends and such that so long as I'm not wandering alone after dark I should be ok... so I'm going to transfer to the hotel and have the night in to rest up before the tour!

I'm really excited about Petra, too - it's one of the top places on my bucket list! That and Djeser-Djeseru. It's exciting to think, it's only just over 4 months away now!

Hi there,

Just wanted to pop in to say my wife and I have also signed on for this tour. We're from the Canadian Prairies and decided an Egypt adventure would make a good anniversary getaway. We will be landing in Cairo on the 3rd to give us a little extra time to manage the jet lag.

I have never been oversees but my wife has spent time in Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Somalia so although I hear it is customary in Egypt to see the woman walking behind the man...I am thinking I will mix it up a bit and let my wife (Kath) do the leading

We land at about 7:30pm on the third of April. If we are not suffering any travel exhaustion or jet-lag I think we're going to see if we can arrange a short trek out to Dahshur / Saqqara on the 4th.
