My name is Kate and I only booked on this afternoon! I will be travelling solo from England/Bournemouth and so I have that great feeling of anticipation and excitement... and I also feel like I have so much to do! haha

Have you guys got any good tips of the best flight companies to use to fly to Cuba? Guess it's different depending on where you're coming from!

Anyway- hope you're good and maybe we can all meet up if I get there early too!

Another Kate for the tour! I will be in Havana around 6pm on the 9th and will check in immediately at the hotel. I am flying to Varadero and taking the bus from there as it was a lot cheaper for me. Would be great if we could all hook up and head out for somewhere to eat and have a couple of drinks. I am getting so excited! It is also -22 Celsius here right now and I really need some hot weather!

I am booked on this tour as well and arrive into Havana on the 8th March (after a very long flight from Australia). I am also travelling on my own so would be interested in meeting up before the tour stars on the 9th March

I booked my flights last night and will be getting there on the 8th too, and would love to meet up...will those of you that are arriving early be staying in the meeting hotel?

I will also be staying until the evening of the 25th...anyone staying a bit extra in Havana too?

I look forward to meeting you all...it's been a whirlwind organising this so I can't seem to grasp it's less than a week away! So excited! (little bit anxious too )

Hi Kate,

Have you booked into the hotel for the extra days? I just spoke to Gap and they can't do it, as it's 'blacked out' meaning as it's high season the hotels won't let them do it?

I need to book somewhere and fast!

I will probably arrange something when I get there. I may try and get a room in a casa particular instead of the hotel as the prices seem more reasonable. If the hotel is really nice though, I may try and see if I can book through those ends dates when I get there on the 8th.

Trip is coming up so fast! I can't wait!

That's a good point. I may leave the end accomodation until I get there too...I just need something for the night I get there. You get there the 8th too? I thought you were getting there on the 9th? Did I read somewhere you're travelling with a friend?

I am getting so excited...feeling quite disorganised though!

Sorry, my mistake...I leave on the 8th, but I have to spend the night in Montreal before catching the morning flight to Varadero on the 9th. From there I will take the bus to Havana after landing. I will probably get there around 6 pm.

I am meeting a woman that I met on a past G Adventures tour there.
