also what size bag are you guys taking with you?

and does any one know what we are alowed on the indernal flight?

Hey Kat,

I dont know what my size bag is.. i think its medium.. hubby organised that bit.. but in regards to the internal flight, the weight limit is 15kg per person.

i also have been speaking to some colleagues about wats good over in vietnam (to do in a spare time).. they said that in HCMC that we should visit one of the rooftop bars, such as the REX bar. and that in hoi an, there is a place there that does really good jewellery for a tenth of aust price, plus the shoes made there are pretty decent though not of the best quality material.

also when we go to the mekong.. i found out that it should be firefly season.. so it is going to be quite a lovely valentines day for us all

with the indernal flight, I assume we are allowed hand baggage as well??

Getting really excited now. But I'm a bit worried about how much to pack. I find it hard to pack light and I really want to buy LOTS
How many changes of clothes etc is everyone taking.

hey susie,

well mike and i are packing about 4 outfits each, as well as a light jacket. there is going to be heaps of opportunities to buy clothes so im not that worried. the clothes i am bringing are light to carry.

i looked up the weather for the duration of our journey - shoulder be light drizzle and 18 deg north side and dry and 28 deg south side.

we are bringing a travel first aid kit (with extras), plus a spare set of flip-flops. we are going to buy sunscreen over there and hats.

im also bringing a small book to keep me amused during the 8 hr long drives. but then again i dont know if i'll need it cause there will be alot of new ppl to chat too.

we will be arriving at hanoi at 1230ish.. and going straight to the hotel to drop off our stuff and then we are going to have a bit of a walk around. if any of you are there around that time just look for a short tanned girl with a reddish haired guy.. that'll be us.. see u all there...

Oh my goodness I'm going to have to 'de-pack' some stuff. I find it soooooo hard to pack light.
We arrive in Hanoi at 9:30 am. I'm the short one with absolutely no tan unfortunately wish I did lol.
