I am currently living in Los Angeles, but I'll actually be flying into Costa Rica from NYC. How about you?

I'm flying from NYC too! I'm on the 9:20 am flight on Saturday, will get to CR 4:05pm.
I lived in West LA for 8 years before moving to NY last year, I really miss the weather! It's so cold here

No kidding? I grew up in NY and moved to California a little more than two years ago.

I leave out of Newark and I have a direct flight so I get to SJO at 1:30pm.

My bf and I are on this trip also - we're arriving a day early, and staying back a day extra in SJ.

Do you guys know what activities you are doing yet? I want to do everything and I know I'm not gonna have enough time. My must do's are in red....I have to figure out which of the Manual Antonio activities I will do..I also don't think I will be in San Jose long enough to do anything really.

La Fortuna/ Arenal:
Rafting Class II and III (half day – 4.5 hours) $65 (includes fruit on the river and lunch)
Canyoning/Rappelling tour $75 (includes breakfast or lunch depending on tour time – 4 hours)
Mambo Combo (Rafting II and III with Canyoning) $139.50 (8 hours)
Volunteer Program at Proyecto Asis (feeding animals, playing with animals, baby monkey, and some physical work, includes snack) $59 (4 hours)

Have you bought the Adrenaline Pack? I haven't :/ I thought I would choose activities when I get there, you never know, I may find more interesting activities. I will def be doing the Canyoning/Rappelling, Ziplining, Hanging bridges and rafting. I'll decide on other activities once there

I didn't buy the Adrenaline Pack because I'm worried if I do that I can't do the Proyecto Asis activity.

We didn't buy the Adrenaline Pack either. I'm interested in the canopy tour, wildlife refuge, ziplining and possibly rafting.

Slightly disappointed that the volcano is no longer active, I guess there won't be any lava flows to see at night.

Oh well! I'm sure it will be fun no matter what activity we end up doing!
