Hello,
Just making introductions. Our group of four on this SEGL tour span three generations of our family. Max and Calvin are undergraduate students at the University of Alberta (in western Canada). I'm Mom, live near Banff and and work in Calgary. Jim (Grandpa) has Scottish roots but now lives near Washington DC. He travelled quite a bit while working, is now retired and has lots of stories. The boys and I have travelled quite a bit, mainly backpacking. This will be our first experience of going on an organized tour. Max's undergrad degree is in Evolutionary Biology, hence this trip. The boys and I arrive in Quito on the 19th/20th and plan to hike in the central highlands and maybe visit Mindo before the tour begins. Looking forward to the change in culture, spending time with family and new experiences.

We're a family of four on the same trip. Rob (dad), Emer (mom), Fina (14 year-old girl) and Nessa (12 year-old girl).
We're based in Seattle. Rob and I are both Irish. Fina is a high-school freshman who loves animals, traveling and warm weather (she says after her first day skiing this year). Nessa is a 7th grader who loves biology, and who thinks evolution and animals are fascinating.
As a family we love to travel and are looking forward to meeting you. Totally psyched to have an evolutionary biologist with us!!!
