Hi Linsey, I'm Paul and am also on the colours of Asia tour, how are your preparations coming along? Are you travelling anywhere else? Look forward to meeting you!

Hi Paul,

Nice to hear from you! Preparation wise, I've booked my flight, airport parking and arranged dog sitting duties with my lovely neighbour :) this is my first trip with g adventures, how about you?

Have a nice day :)

Ah nice! I'm going across South America, New Zealand and Aus before Thailand so leave in 3 weeks. I haven't been with G adventures before but am going on another two tours with them beforehand. Have you looked into your Thai visa yet, I'm finding it difficult!

Wow, that's sounds amazing  I haven't been to south America, aus or NZ, will it be your first time there? I thought Thai visas were only for visits of 30 days or more. Are you a british citizen? I think it depends on your nationality, oh I'll check it out then and get back to you on that one,

You'll have an amazing time!
Have a nice weekend

Yeah I haven't been travelling at all before really so I cannot wait! I'm a British citizen but it seems complicated because we're entering over land. Don't trouble yourself about it, was just wondering if you had tried getting it yet.

Have a good weekend!

Hi Lindsey & Paul,

I am Mhairi (Vah-ree), 29 from Edinburgh. I'm also booked on the trip and super excited already! This is my first G-Adventures trip, although I did a similar style trip in Northern India this January with Exodus which has whetted my appetite for more exploration in the East.

Have just been reading the trip notes and the only thing I'm worried about so far is luggage for 14 days...advised to keep it under 10kg (eeek!)

Look forward to meeting you both in a few months!

M :D

Good to hear from you Mhairi, glad to know you have been tempted back to Asia.

As far as luggage goes,I'm going to struggle to keep to that as I have other tours either side of Colours of Asia so hopefully they'll be lenient!

Look forward to meeting you!

Hi we are Susan and Robin from Inverness. We are also booked on this trip and getting super excited. We have taken early retirement to allow us to do the travelling we missed out on in our youth. However, don't worry we are very young at heart and hopefully it won't seem like you have brought along your mum and dad!

We are to be away from home for 3 months. We have 2 other Gadventure trips booked as well so I hope they are as good as they sound. We are doing The HillTribe Trek in and IndoChina Encompassed in February. In addition to this we have some time in Singapore, Phuket, Gili Meno and Bali.

We just realised this week we need a Thai visa since we arrive overland and we will be in Thailand for more than 15 days. However those simply doing this trip alone should be fine.

Also stressing about the luggage - no way can I be away for 3 months with 10kgs!

Hope you all have a great Christmas and look forward to meeting you in Singapore.
