Eco friendly toiletries

Postby Sasa » Sun Sep 09, 2007 3:26 pm

I have only been able to find one make of ecofriendly soap/shower gel. What is it like to use? Are there any more options out there? Can you use it as shampoo too? All you ladies..can you get away without any conditioner? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I like to use a leave in conditioner as you don't have to worry about washing it out. I always use this leave in condition from The Body Shop, as its small and lasts forever!! Its called Amlika leave in conditioner. Hope that helps!!

I always take Campsuds: http://www.mec.ca/product/4015-090/sier ... 18ml-nalg/
You may be able to find it in the UK. It works for everything except brushing your teeth! You need very little of it. My husband and I used about a third of that small bottle for 3 1/2 weeks in Africa. We used it to wash our clothes and hair and also as shower gel. Works great on dishes, too. My hair is extremely dry so I also took a small tube of hair smoother to tame it somewhat. :D
I will never let my dreams just be dreams.

+1 for CampSuds. It literally only takes drops to clean yourself or your clothes with. I used about 2.5-3 ounces in 27 days across Africa as body soap, shampoo and laundry detergent.
