Peru Panorma - Dining Attire

Postby ngeorge008 » Mon Jul 01, 2013 2:22 pm

My group of 4 (2 males and 2 females, all in our late 20's) will be trekking on the Peru Panorama tour beginning mid-August. Can anyone comment on whether or not more dressy attire is needed if we are doing dinner out? We have made reservations to Central Restaurante the evening we arrive in Lima and area planning to have at least one other nicer dinner in Cusco. It is OK to show up in our trekking clothes (hiking boots/Keens, camp trousers and plaid shirts) or should we bring along one nicer outfit for such dinners? If it needed, we were thinking Kahki's and a Polo for the guys and a lighter weight (easy to pack) cotton dress and sandal for the girls). Would that be "nice" enough, or does this require something fancier? Thank you in advance for your input!

This will be fine but then so will your trekking clothes. I usually try to take one nice but casual outfit and still end up wearing my trekking clothes :?

It should be a pretty casual environment. I just wore my backpacker clothes.

Thank you for the information! We will not be bringing additional clothing for these activities.
