Postby laurzy85 » Wed Mar 06, 2013 10:34 am

Hi everyone i'm looking at booking the best of west trip in America for September this year (2013) but i'm in a bit of a pickle as my passport runs out in February 2014, can i still book the trip even though i'm currently re-newing it? or do i need to wait for the new passport to come through and then book?

:) many thanks
Laura.

On most trips you can book the trip now and provide your passport information later. However, if your trip has permits to be purchased ahead of time (such as the Inca Trail in Peru), you may need to provide the information when you book. Best to call customer service and ask them.

For the USA it depends on your nationality...which country are you from Laura?

If you have sent off your passport for renewal then wait for the new one. If you still have the current passport then you can just travel with this one.

For the USA you will need to enter the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP)...not quite a visa but an entry requirement for which you need to provide your passport details. So travel with the passport that you stated, for the VWP:

Hope this makes things clearer!
