suitable foot ware best of USA
hi
I'm doing the best of USA tour 22 June and was wondering if sports trekking/terrain trainers would be suitable as opposed to hiking boots as they are bulky, heavy and will probably only wear when necessary if I can help it?
your help would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks

I did a trip thats nearly identical to this one many years ago although not with G, so I should imagine you'd be OK with trainers. I think I took trainers and a pair of walking sandals to, and then used the walking sandals most of the time.
Now if this trip said that you were doing say, 5 hours hiking a day I'd be saying take a light weight boot with ankle support, but trip is a bit more of a mixture than that!

I don't see why you'd anything more than trail runners or terrain trainers.
