Best of the west packing

Hey!
I'm booked onto the best of the west USA tour (yay!). I obviously want to make the most of the parks I'm unsure whether to take hiking shoes or not?? It shouldn't be a big deal but I'm trying to travel light and they are bulky/take up space.
