Essential China-Any tips? Rucksack or rolling bag?
I want to take a rolling bag to China but I'm not sure if i will be pulling it a long way? I took a rucksack to Australia with me and after a few days ended up buying a wheelie bag. I was on and off a coach most of the time but the Essential China trip will be a bit different. Was litre bag is classed as small to medium?
Any one been on the trip before and got any tips about bags and what size or anything else that might come in handy?

rolling bags are not very useful when you get to train stations...with stairs going down to platforms in a horde of people..also getting them onto the trains and packed away is a bit more of a mission...also usually stairs coming up out of the trains stations...other than that, not too bad. some backpacks if they didn't have a daypack zipped on and weren't stuffed too full fit under the beds, but larger ones fit no problem on the luggage racks
whatever you take, you should be able to lift it over your head, because that is where the luggage racks are
