England Visa Question

Postby mwallach » Tue Jun 26, 2012 8:10 pm

Hi, my wife and I are all set for our Highlights of Morocco tour in July! We are flying first to London Heathrow, taking a train/bus to Luton Airport to fly down to Morocco. We feel like we have gotten mixed information on whether or not we need a transit visa in order to transfer airports. Does anyone have more clear information so we can put our worries to rest.

I am a U.S. citizen and my wife is an Indonesian citizen with a U.S. green card.

Thanks for your help!

Hi I would say yes you do need a visa . as technically you are entering the uk to transfer from another airport. But check with the uk embassy in the states.

US citizens dont need a visa to visit the UK - the visa waiver scheme is operational between our two countries - on the UK to US side we now have to do this on line but from the US to UK I believe it is still just a form that you fill in like a landing form.

You wife however even though she has a green card, if she is still on an Indonesian passport will need a visa.
