Age distribution of YOLO tours?

Postby samtheman1k » Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:58 am

What is the average age of YOLO tours? I'm mid 30s, and not into drinking and partying all night, but also don't want to be in bed by 9 every night

At mid 30s, I feel like I'm going to be too old for a YOLO tour if it's going to be full of early 20-somethings, but if it's full of mid 30s, then that is fine. Or should I just opt for a standard tour with a better distribution of ages?

I suppose what I'm asking is are they full of 20 somethings, 30 somethings or a mixture of both?

I'm going on my first solo Gap trip in Sept to Italy and it is a YOLO trip. I'm in my early thirties and like you I'm hoping for a great time but that it is not all centered around drinking. I have a lot of sightseeing to do and I hope the nights will be about catching up with everyone over dinner and a glass of vino or two....when in Rome
I hope to do a few more YOLO trips in South America so that's why I decided to try a shorter closer destination first to see how it goes.
At the end of the day the trip will be what you make of it and once there are a few like minded individuals it should be fine, the others can party their hearts out.

Perfectly said :P

We haven't had any reviews from the YOLO trips so a bit difficult to say but you could always call up Gap Adventures and ask them the ages on the trip. At the end of the day, choose the trip based on the itinerary that suits you best and just go and have a fabulous time!
