yellow fever vaccine?

Famous for its enormous icebergs, towering glaciers and shimmering summer light, Antarctica offers some of the planet's most awe inspiring landscapes. The North Atlantic and Arctic evoke images of sparse snow covered lands, but when summer comes it bursts with colour and life.

yellow fever vaccine?

Postby jen_the_rockhopper » Tue Apr 24, 2012 8:03 pm

ok so I have been looking at various medical sites etc and trying to garnish as much information as I can but not having much luck so I thought I would ask people who have done the trip.

Since we depart from Argentina do people tend to get vaccinated for yellow fever even being there for only a short time. from what I can tell Ushuauia or however it is spelled does not appear to be in the affected areas but curiousity is getting to me- especially given that I work in the medical field.

Im pretty sure there is no yellow fever in the majority of Argentina - perhaps only near the borders with Brazil and Amazon but there is certainly none down south - too damn cold all year round down there!!!! so no I didnt get the shot done for there.

Not required for where you're going so relax and enjoy.

Predominately Yellow Fever is required if you're travelling to/fro YF declared zones.
